GanoFarm Homestay

GanoFarm Homestay was the first mushroom farm that implemented health-tourism and agro-tourism where we also educate the public on the benefits of mushrooms as a health food.

GanoFarm Homestay is located in Tanjung Sepat, a fishing village set in a quiet countryside south of Selangor.  It is about a 90-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur and about a 45-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport and the LCCT terminal.

Along the beach of the homestay, we built a long-house-styled dining area for guests to enjoy the experience of dining by the sea.  We up-keep the cleanliness and natural environment of the seaside while beautifying the facilities with refreshing landscaping plants.

GanoFarm Homestay’s Facilities:

  • A newly-built four-level building with 32 rooms. Each guest room is fully furnished with the amenities of a resort such as a shower attachment, an electric kettle, a coffee table, chairs, free instant coffee, drinking water, Wi-Fi, a television, towels, and toiletries.
  • 2 multi-purpose halls. Each multi-purpose hall is equipped with conference facilities such as banquet tables and chairs, a mounted projector, a computer, a video screen, and a white board.
  • A meeting room for 20 persons.
  • A common utility kitchen on the ground floor houses a microwave, a gas stove, cooking utensils, and tableware.
  • A barbecue area with equipment.
  • A mushroom-viewing-and-briefing corridor with a resting corridor and a mushroom-product gallery.
  • The seaside:
    • A well-maintained natural sandy beach with mangrove trees.
    • Linking the homestay to the seaside is a wooden bridge with spectacular views of sunset and sunrise.
    • A pork-free restaurant serving grilled seafood by the beach. It has a karaoke facility and a beer garden.
    • The seafood is freshly caught by local fishermen and served with the natural “kampong” taste and style at very-reasonable prices.

Seeking Local Tour Packages?

In the mushroom-product gallery, there is a counter with tour packages displayed (tours in Tanjung Sepat).  They are highly-recommended for guests who are not familiar with attractions of the village and its surroundings.

Tanjung Sepat is a traditional Malaysian village that has persisted with its original social character of warm and harmony.  The village residents are composed of Malays, Chinese, Indians, and members of the aboriginal tribes of Malaysia.  Guests would be able to witness the daily scenery of the village such as children cycling around and the members of aboriginal tribes catching crabs.
